A FAMILY WINERY MAKING WORLD-CLASS WINES
Pioneers in winemaking and viticulture in the Columbia Valley, the Hogue and Mercer families have helped shaped the past and present of Washington State winemaking, and are confidently forging a new path ahead in the Horse Heaven Hills, Yakima Valley and Columbia Valley AVAs. Winemaker David Forsyth, formerly of The Hogue Cellars, is in charge of winemaking on behalf of the joint venture families. In the coming vintages Mercer Estates wines will be estate-grown, bottled and produced.
Mercer Estates is committed to consistent, quality winemaking. Through generations of farming and winemaking in Washington State the winery's founders are pleased to count many vineyard managers and wine professionals as friends and partners in bringing the very best wines to consumers.

| Mercer Estates Riesling 2007
Yakima Valley Riesling grapes grown in Washington State's cooler Yakima Valley appellation produce a brisk, tangy and refreshing wine. Flavors and aromas of apricot, peach and tangerine along with the bracing acidity of the Mercer Estates Riesling reflect the unique character of Washington State Riesling. With little less than a percent and a half of residual sugar this Riesling is a bit dryer than many Rieslings and lends itself quite well to food pairings.

Mercer Estates Chardonnay 2007
Columbia Valley The Chardonnay grapes were sourced from five vineyards with long histories of producing exceptional Chardonnay grapes. The wines were fermented predominately in French oak barrels and aged sur lies. Partial malolactic fermentation added complexity and body while the non-malolactic portion of the wine retained its fresh melon and tropical flavors and acidity. This elegant, complex Chardonnay expresses good varietal character accented with a hint of vanilla and oak spice.
