Carma Club
Named in honor of Carma Sharp Mercer, one of the family matriarchs, the Mercer Estates Carma Club offers its members a personal connection with two of Washington State’s leading wine families–the Mercers and the Hogues–and access to fine wine from some of the best vineyard sites in the State.
Carma was tough and determined, hard-working and fun-loving. Her life was full of adventure as she accompanied her husband, Milt Mercer Sr., grazing the family’s vast stock of sheep from the Horse Heaven Hills above Prosser Washington to the prairies below Chief Mountain Montana. Whether sleeping in a primitive tee pee or making a home for her young family in town, Carma was an integral part of the family enterprise and the social fabric of the Yakima Valley. Carma brought good fortune to those around her. This legacy of the two families, their entrepreneurial spirit, and contribution to the local community continue today with the establishment of Mercer Estates Winery.
