Wine & Popcorn Pairing

Sometimes the easiest way to unwind after a long day at the office is to simply kick-back on the couch with a glass of wine and your favorite show. In lieu of keeping things simple & easy, we’ve paired two quick & delicious popcorn recipes to snack on while you recline with your glass of wine!

Wine of the evening:

Our 2014 Reserve Rhone Style Blend, Ode to Brothers – a blend of Syrah (39%), Mourvedre (36%) and Grenache (25%). The Grenache brings ripe currant and raspberries and keeps the mouthfeel bright and supple. The Syrah brings volume and the complex aromas of smoke and cured meat.  Mourvedre supplies white pepper and minerality. The contribution of each of these varieties has created a balanced, elegant Rhone blend that can be enjoyed for many years to come. Grab a bottle for yourself, here! Now, let’s grab a snack….

 

Rosemary & White Truffle Popcorn

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag Popcorn, lightly salted
  • 2 tbsp White Truffle Oil
  • 2 sprigs Rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Grated Parmesan (optional)

Directions:

  1. Prepare popcorn
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine white truffle oil, olive oil, rosemary, sea salt and pepper and mix well.
  3. Add popcorn to mixing bowl and mix until popcorn is evenly coated.
  4. Enjoy!

 

Dark Chocolate & Rosemary Sea Salt Popcorn

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1  bag Popcorn, lightly salted
  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Seeds
  • 5 oz Dark Chocolate (We used 2 chocolate bars), broken up into small squares
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 sprig Rosemary (plus more for sprinkling over the top)
